Description: Pp. 10, 233, (2), list of plates, (2) publisher's ads. Bound in original cloth with paper label. 22 of 28 hand coloured plates only. The plates are engraved by W.F. Smith who also did work for Paxton and Sweet and so are of high quality. Published anonymously as a series of dialogues one interlocutor being named as "Miss Henley" (possibly the name of the author?). A poor copy with binding very loose, front free end paper stained, some light offsetting. No English printing is recorded, not in Freeman, scarce. Size: 17.0 x 10.5 cms.
