Hardbacks, 2 volume set. Volume 1: xlix, 383pp. 31cm x 25cm. 1846. Complete with 21 plates as called for, some colour. The colour plate of the screen at Blundeston has been bound in as a frontis. Marbled boards, worn half-calf with original label laid onto spine. Inner hinges rather crudely reinforced. Owner's name on ffep. Various degrees of spotting and some mainly marginal water staining to approximately half the plates in this volume. Volume 2: 460pp. 28.5cm x 23cm. 1847. Complete with 24 plates as called for, some in colour. Contents pages and list of subscribers are supplied loose in facsimile. New cloth spine and label. Pencil annotations to front pastedown. Some browning of paper. Some water staining to one corner margin in first portion of the book. Plates vary from quite discoloured and grubby to pretty clean. Volume 1, the more difficult of the two find, covers the hundreds of Wangford, Mutford and part of Lothingland. Volume 2: continues Lothingland and starts on Blything. Suckling died at the age of 40 leaving this project unfinished.
